Read on to discover what’s new in this release. 🎉
New features
App permission
TeamBoard TimePlanner offers a comprehensive permission configuration system, enabling you to assign specific access rights to users. So that, this feature ensures strict control over app access and usage of its functionalities. The new app permissions are categorized into 3 groups: App Admin, Viewer, and Approver.
Admin
Admin is the highest level of administrative rights, designed for different managerial roles
-
- App Admin: This role has full access to all tabs and can view all user data. Obviously, it’s ideal for Organization Admins and Jira Admins who need to manage TeamBoard TimePlanner for their entire company.
- Team Admin: This role can access all tabs and view team members’ data but is limited to Timesheet Approval, Leave Approval, and the Client and Cost tabs. For this purpose, this function suits HR Managers, Team Managers, and Team Leaders who manage teams within the organization.
- Client Admin: This role can access all tabs except for Timesheet Approval, Leave Approval, and the Cost tab. So, It is intended for Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Product Managers.
- Billing/Cost Admin: This role has access to all tabs except for Timesheet Approval, Leave Approval, and the Client tab. That is why it is suitable for Chief Financial Officers and Product Managers.
Viewer
View permissions are designed to strictly control app access and restrict the use of its functions. Therefore, users with Viewer rights can only view specific functions, including Timesheets, Schedules, Clients, and Billing/Cost. For that reason, this ensures that they have access to necessary information without the ability to modify any data.
Approver
Approver permissions enable users to approve various aspects within the app. HR department staff and team leaders benefit from Leave Approver rights, while team leaders, project leaders, and project managers utilize Timesheet Approver rights.
This enhancement increases organizational security by ensuring that only authorized roles can access and modify data in TeamBoard TimePlanner. Therefore, it helps minimize security risks and provides greater control over actions performed within the application.

Team permission
Team permissions in TeamBoard TimePlanner is a feature that allows administrators to set specific permissions and roles for each team member.
- Within the group structure, there are two default roles leader and member.
- Admins can also create custom roles within their groups and assign members to the respective roles.
- Each role can have different or similar access levels, including permissions related to work logs, schedules, and team management. So, this means a member can hold multiple roles simultaneously.
This decentralization allows managers to control the actions of team members while enabling members to focus on tasks relevant to their roles. Overall, this approach helps optimize teamwork, streamlines workflows and maintains security and accountability within your team.
For detailed information on what these permissions entail and how to set them up correctly in TeamBoard TimePlanner, please refer to our guide on team permissions.
